Without our friends and family, our life together would not be as sweet.

The Matron of Honor
Susii Hoehn, Jackie's best friend of 11 years. Susii is one of a kind. She has a vivacious personality that lights up a room, an infectious laugh, and confidence that everyone around her admires. She also does one adorable "I'm a member of the Fuzzy Wuzzy Baby Club" face. Susii lives in high desert of Southern California with her husband Todd and two beautiful girls, Sabrina and Alexis.

The Best Man
Keith Simpson, George's best friend since high school. Keith really knows how to live it up. He has the best bonfires south of the Mason Dixon line, and although he thinks smores are for pansies, he puts up with his friends' girls who want them anyways. When he's not saving lives as a Paramedic, (not EMT, but Paramedic, don't get them confused!) he spends his time on his family ranch in Ocala, Florida.

The Bridesmaid
Sarah Moreau, Jackie's confidante of five years. From crying over tea to spa pampering treatments to kayaking local rivers, Sarah has been with Jackie every step of the way through her and George's relationship. While two single girls trying to figure out their lives, Sarah and Jackie both met and started dating "The One" around the same time. Sarah lives in Columbia, Maryland with her husband Bjorn and their two super cool blue kayaks.

The Officiant
Nathan Bonilla-Warford, George's other best friend from high school. A musician who loves to play nearly every guitar/banjo/mandolin-related instrument, Nate enjoys sending George mix CDs and various sundries from his travels. Nate and his lovely wife Cristina recently moved to Tampa to start their own optometry practice and now have beautiful six-month old daughter, Nora.

Our Parents
Karen Donaldson, Jackie's mom. Although she hasn't yet realized it, Kern (as George calls her) is the adventurous sort. Never having lived by herself, one day she picked up and moved to Hawaii for several months. She introduced Jackie to yoga and chai, dancing in the living room on Friday nights, and velour track suits. Now a self-professed California girl living in San Diego, Jackie's mom is a free spirit whose compassion and quirky sense of humor inspires everyone she knows. She lives with her Scottish terrier Marumsco, her cat Zelda Marie (aka Priss Pot Pete) with the Liz Taylor eyes, and her grossly obese adopted cat Eclipse.
Kevin Donaldson, Jackie's dad. An avid musician, Kevin spends a lot of his time practicing his guitar, sunning by the pool, and working out. His thoughtfulness reminds Jackie to reach out and give herself to others. Always willing to listen and lend a helping hand, he lives in Richmond, Virginia with several of his guitars.
Diane and Mike Weicherding, George's mom and stepdad. Without their unconditional love, boundless generosity, endlessly expressed encouragement, and constantly evolving toilet humor (well, the last one is just Mike), George would've turned out to be a completely different, quite sad, and perhaps intolerable human being. Diane and Mike have resided in Ocala, Florida for 26 years.
George Lopez and David Franco, George's dad and his partner. David is the wedding floral decorator and stylist, as well as co-host with George (aka Pop) of the salsa party. Pop is the whole other part of George--his sometimes painful and annoying sensitivity, his love of beautiful things, and his ability to make everyone feel at home. George is a native of Havana, Cuba, and David hails from Venezuela. They live in southwest Miami.

Our Grandparents
Marian Green, Jackie's maternal grandmother. When Jackie was little, Mom Ma (as Jackie named her) would take her for all you can eat seafood, hours-long shopping sprees, and manage to bake the most divinely rich brownies in between. She loved to garden and was especially proud of her gladiolas. For the past 53 years, she has lived in Woodbridge, VA.
Jean Carmichael, George's maternal grandmother. Generous to a fault, Jean will do anything for her children and grandchildren. Among many other gifts, she helped finance George's much needed hearing aids. Surrounded by starfruit trees, pineapple plants, and avocado trees, Jean lives on a ranch in Miami.
Obdulia Lopez, George's paternal grandmother. Quite possibly the sweetest grandmother in the world, Obdulia stops to coo over babies, loves to pamper George when he visits, and always has affectionate things to say to Jackie. Obdulia lives in southwest Miami with her son George and David.
With us in spirit are our beloved grandparents, Jim "Hey Dad" Green, Manuel "Abuelo" Lopez, and Eileen "Nana" and Chris "Grandpa" Donaldson. Hey Dad was the only grandparent of this group to have known us as a couple, and we brought immense joy to him. We know that all our grandparents would have felt the same and will be with us our wedding day and forever after.

Our Siblings
Jenni Enriquez, George's sister. Jenni is hands down the best sister ever. She keeps track of all the comings and goings of her family, and she's always willing to lend a helping hand and give solid advice to those in need. She's smart, quick with her words, and beautiful inside and out. (Though if you mess with her baby brother, she will destroy you.) A recent Miami transplant, Jenni lives with her boyfriend Michel.
Jamie Donaldson, Jackie's brother. Younger by five years, Jamie would follow his sister in "adventures" like hiking through the woods and avoiding leeches in the creek, picking wild strawberries while avoiding bee nests, biking the forbidden dirt roads, and getting stuck kayaking in shallow canals. Nowadays, Jamie moves to the beat of his own drummer, and Jackie and George take joy in spending sunny days with Jamie's adorably sweet son Kaleo.

Our Nephew
Kaleo Donaldson, our nephew. If he could've made it to the ceremony, he'd be our Ring Bearer. Nicknamed "Baby Boogie," this kid loves to shake his booty to anything that's got bass. He laughs a lot, throws away his own trash, shares his raisins, and practically screams with delight every time he sees a "moto." Kaleo lives with his mother Delia, a beautifully generous and creative mujer, in El Cajon, California.

Our Daughters
Ema and Cali Gooch, our kitties. With Jackie for the past 13 years, they adore George as if he's raised them. Actually, it took Ema a few weeks to warm up to the new guy who was taking most of her mommy's attention when George first arrived, but Cali instantaneously claimed George's belly for her own personal pad. Although they won't be able to make it to the wedding, Ema and Cali want you to know they say "meow" and hope you will stop by soon to give them some quality petting. |
