My name is Jackie Donaldson-Lopez, and I'm a recent graduate of the applied anthropology program at the University of Maryland. As a public health anthropologist, I've worked on developing, implementing, and evaluating health education programs.
My husband and I recently moved to San Diego, California to live near my family, and I'm searching for a fullfilling position in the public health field. In this crazy job market, I'm open to all possibilities. Searching for the right job has stimulated new research ideas that you can learn more about on my research page.
In my down time, I've picked back up where I left off before starting graduate school by continuing to research my extended family tree, learning pottery techniques, and searching for local medical anthropologists, Latino culture enthusiasts, and alternative and complementary health practitioners.
In Nov. 2007, I married the love of my life. We had a gorgeous three-day wedding extravaganza in Miami over the Thanksgiving holiday, surrounded by our closest friends and family.
What a wonderful life!
