My name is Jackie Donaldson-Lopez, and I'm currently developing health education workshops to be held in San Diego communities.
I'm a 2008 graduate of the Applied Anthropology program at the University of Maryland. As a public health anthropologist, my passion involves developing, implementing, and evaluating health education programs.
My husband and I recently moved to San Diego, California to live near my family. Searching for the right job in a crazy economy has stimulated new research ideas that you can learn more about on my research page. And, I've started a blog, Evelyn's Take on Good Health, that's chocked full of health topics from an anthropological perspective.
In my down time, I enjoy researching my extended family tree, learning pottery techniques, and discussing the latest in medical anthropology through my San Diego Meetup.com group.
In Nov. 2007, I married the love of my life. We had a gorgeous three-day wedding extravaganza in Miami over the Thanksgiving holiday, surrounded by our closest friends and family.
What a wonderful life!
